Hello to Everyone around the world:

Greetings from humid & dark downtown Tokyo. I s'pose I can't possibly
avoid commenting on THE Big Reunion News that has been absolutely
everywhere..Truthfully, I'm a little scared and have some very mixed
feelings. I'm hoping for the best but also fearing the worst.

I felt pretty much the same way ahead of the Page/Plant shows which
turned out to be fantastic. I did a total of 25 shows in 5 different
countries and enjoyed every single one of them especially the entire
Japan tour. This would be my first time ever seeing the three of them
together and if it really is the last time (in case it's truly a one
off show), I couldn't imagine missing it.

So, I guess I'll be waiting to hear about tickets and more details
just like everyone else.

Fisheads International Office will be closed from September 25th - October 7th.

Greetings World Wide Zeppelin Friends:

It's nice to be home after an absolutely amazing trip to Cape Town,
South Africa. Cape Town is a beautiful place with quite a sad and
poignant history. The first thing I did upon arrival was to take a
cable car up Table Mountain which towers over the city. The views
were incredible!

I also took a tour out to Cape Point which is the actual tip of
Africa where the Atlantic and Indian oceans meet. It was difficult
climbing up to the light tower at the top to snap some pics as the
fierce wind tried to rip the camera right out of my hands. Other
highlights were seeing wild penguins, seals, babboons and a boat trip
Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was held for 18 years.

To break up the 20+ hour flight home, I stopped off in Singapore to
see some old college friends. It was a total blast getting together
with some of the guys I haven't seen for 20 years. My good friend
Kent (better known as Andrew) took me around to all the places where
the locals go to eat as well as the hottest night spots in the city.
It's been quite a long while since I didn't get back to my hotel room
till 4 Am.

Meanwhile: I didn't win Zepp London reunion tickets in the lottery.
Can anyone help?

Hiya Everyone:

Greetings from chilly & dark downtown Tokyo. I'm feeling pretty tired
tonight. It's probably because I went drinking on Saturday night with
my Australian buddy Wally. I also stayed up from 2 Am until 9 Am this
morning watching a live NFL double header. The games were good but it
certainly takes it's toll.

My good buddy Peter is coming to visit from China this weekend. I
haven't seen him for nearly a year and I'm really looking forward to
hanging out with him again. He's planning to see Heaven & Hell,
Marilyn Manson and a few other bands that are doing a two day
festival here. Peter has been travelling the world to see rock
concerts even longer than I have and was an original inspiration.

Howdy Folks:


How's it going? Greetings from chilly & quite wet downtown Tokyo. The weather here is still a bit whacky and unsettled. I can't believe it's gonna be 25 C (80F) tomorrow!


Our concert season which stretches roughly from October thru March is just getting under way as bands are going to or returning from Australia/New Zealand. A few new markets such as India and mainland China are also opening up and offering exciting new venues to check out great bands. It's really interesting to see how bands are received in different places around the world especially those just opening up for the first time. My personal travel motto is "Gotta see the show, it's Rock N Roll"! 


I'm very much looking forward to meeting my good buddy Adam and checking out Velvet Revolver next month. The Police & Rage Against the Machine have already announced dates in February, and hopefully Van Halen will make it here at some point as well as a few more exciting surprises.

Hiya Folks!!

Greetings from chilly & dark downtown Tokyo. I got to check out an
advance copy of The Song Remains the Same soundtrack the other day.
All I can say is WoW!!! The advertising blitz for the new releases is
already in full swing with magazine covers, posters, and certainly
much more mass media coverage soon. The 2 disk DVD set is supposedly
limited to only 5000 copies for all of Japan?!

Below is the long awaited and anticipated new CD Catalog 2007 #3
Autumn! I'm terribly sorry for all the usual delays and difficulties.
Things are really starting to heat up here as we race towards the end
of the year. Stay tuned for more and more news!

The snail mail version should be heading off to the printer mid to
late next week. Please let me know if you would like to receive the
snail mail version or have recently changed your address! I'll be
updating the web site soon too.

scarce and sell out extremely fast!! Please list alternate choices

Reserves: Due to the extremely large volume of orders, titles can
only be held for two weeks. We can NOT accept reserves for Ultra Rare
Japan Only Titles due to their scarcity.

Rare Titles/Want Lists: There are occasionally rare Japanese only
minor pressings released which are not listed in my catalogs. These
are generally very common shows on rather minor labels. Please feel

Hiya Gang:

Greetings from chilly & very wet downtown Tokyo. I have absolutely no
idea why but there is a large fireworks display happening as I write
this message. Fireworks have always been a huge Summer activity in
Japan, but I can't recall a time when there's been any after August
(except for a few token ones on an otherwise rather quiet New Year's
Eve).

This evening, I'm heading out with the Brits to a new steak house
that just opened in Tokyo. It's called Ruth's Chris and I believe
it's a chain or at least a few shops in the U.S. It's getting more
and more difficult to find American beef in Japan even after the all
clear was given since the last mad cow scare. I'm quite looking
forward to having some good 'ol American beef and hanging with our
delightfully mad friends.

Hiya Friends:


Happy (Japanese) Labor Day from windy & chilly downtown Tokyo. It was kinda nice to have a public holiday after our Thanksgiving feast with the Brits and the live NFL game that ended just after 6 Am this morning. The food wasn't bad but the portions were a bit pathetic. I wonder if there's an all you can eat place for next year?


Since Thanksgiving isn't an official holiday, the Christmas decorations and lights are already going up around town. I've heard only 1% or so of the population is Christian, so it's regarded more as a time of mass consumerism and date holiday for couples. The Emporer's birthday is the 24th of December which is a national holiday.

Brothers & Sisters:


I Was There!! I'm sure by now you've read dozens of reviews, accounts and stories about THE  show. How good was it? Let me tell ya folks, my brother and I were in just about the worst seats in the house (2nd to very last row of the nose bleeds in section 403) and everyone was dancing, singing and shouting like we were right up front of the stage!!


The funny thing is how we got the tickets...A couple of weeks before the show, I simply called up Ticketmaster UK in London and asked about availability of seats. They never requested nor required passcodes, and were quite glad to sell us a couple of tickets at face value. They emailed me confirmation and seat numbers within a couple of days. The email reminders from Ticketmaster continued as the date got closer. I even got an email from Ticketmaster congratulating me for winning the ballot (?!) and explaining the rules to pick up tickets and how to get in to the show!


The whole rainy & grey weekend in London was like a carnival/family reunion. Everyone was asking each other where are you from and sharing stories and experiences.  I met people from absolutely everywhere (there were so many Americans I was actually surprised when we met a few Brits sitting next to us) and ran into a couple of people I knew while standing in line to get in. Unfortuantely, I didn't make it to any of the various parties. I really wanted the experience to be low key, personal and spiritual.


My head is still trying to comprehend it all but without absolutely no doubt nor question in my mind, I finally saw Led Zeppelin live and it was beyond anything I could have expected or wanted.

Hi Again Folks:


Greetings from windy & chilly downtown Tokyo. Thank you for all the messages and kind words about my being at THE show - I really appreciate it!! Quite a few friends have asked me for reviews, but truthfully, there are already so many brilliant reviews out there, I'm not sure what I could possibly add to the mix. A few very quick overall impressions...


The show seemed to rush by in a complete blur. Even the slow songs ended far too quickly.. just as I was really getting into them. The fast songs were violent & vicious like they were not just trying to prove something but actually attempting to impale me. Trampled Underfoot sped along at  500 miles per hour and Misty Mountain Hop was pure energy and excitement.


We held our breath waiting to see if Stairway was gonna be a tease or if it would really happen. It must have been quite cathergic for the band as they tossed it out there to get it out of the way before firing up another soul searching jam. Almost no one around me recognized For Your Life. But, it was the kind of night where everyone was mezmorized and just grooving including the band.

Hiya Folks:

Greetings from cold & insanely busy downtown Tokyo. Well, this should
be the final update for 2007 (barring extremely late breaking news).
It's been quite a wild ride for me this year. I accumulated 64,000+
air miles while visiting cities including Bombay, New Delhi, Kansas
City, Charlotte, Singapore, Cape Town and of course London where I
got to see THE dream concert of all dream concerts (I'm still having
a hard time not smiling when I think about that show).

I also saw Roger Waters, The Police, Steely Dan, Brand New Heavies
and a few others in concert. I didn't get to meet quite as many
people this year as I would have liked, so I'm really hoping I'll
have a more chances next year. I did get to hang out with my dear old
friends Nick Jones, Peter from China, Skip & Hiroko, Beacon & of
course Secret Squirrel.

Didn't we had some absolutely killer releases this year?! Southampton
73, Landover '77, Earl's Court 5/25/75 DVD, and many more. Please

Postal Rates: For the first time in 15 years of selling CDs, I've been forced to re-consider postal rates to keep up with official Japan Post increases. New Postal rates will be announced and go into effect in February.

Greetings from chilly downtown Tokyo where we are expecting our first dusting of snow for the year. I always get excited and wait anxiously for the rare snow to shut down the entire city for at least half a day.


You may have heard we had a special visitor to our city last week. What you might not have heard is why Mr. Page got a laugh at the press conference when he stated he wasn't familiar with Erika whom attended the 02 show. You see, Erika is one of those "famous for being famous" actress types (like a certain hotel heiress whom I thought I'd never mention in an update) that manages to somehow attend every MAJOR event but always acts bored and stuck up. The interpreter chose to use Erika's own catch phrase to translate Jimmy's statement that he didn't know who she was which got a laugh. Poor Jimmy had no idea he had said something so funny..


Postal Rates: For the first time in 15 years of selling CDs, I'm forced to announce new postal rates to keep up with official Japan Post increases. The new rates effective from today would be $5 per CD and $10 for box sets (multiple disk box sets or special packages will be slightly higher rates). EMS and Registered Postal rates are also available. Please inquire for rates on specific orders.


Office Hours Update: The office will be closed from Feb 5th - 10th. I'm off to a snow festival and RATM show. I will not be able to reply to email, process orders, post updates, etc.

Hiya Friends:

It's nice to be back home in chilly & drenched downtown Tokyo after a
rapid fire week on the road. My wife and I started our trip in
Sapporo on the Northermost Japanese island of Hokkaido. We attended
the Sapporo Snow Festival which featured an incredible display of the
most intricate and amazing art made out of snow & ice. There was a
huge variety of statues including everything from Egyptian Gods to
Mickey Mouse, a full scale model of the Sapporo train station and
even Al Gore - this year's theme was global warming.

My next stop was Osaka to see Rage Against the Machine and do some
shopping. I also got to hang out with my good buddy Nick Jones who is
in town on special assignment with The Police. We spent mind bending
hours in a very famous and loud rock bar named appropriately enough
"Rock Rock".

Back home last night, I had the rare pleasure of seeing Nick perform
with a brilliant Japanese Blue Grass band called Gunzo. The postage
stamp sized stage barely held all the muscians as they jammed on
everything from traditional blue grass tunes to mind blowing blue
grass covers of Knocking on Heaven's Door, Johnny B Goode and even
Good times/Bad Times!
